Maintenance

Description Outgoing e-mail more secure
impact From February 8, outgoing e-mail will be more secure. Emails sent from UU email addresses (ending in @ uu.nl) are made more reliable by combating spoofing: a form of identity fraud in which someone (or something) poses as someone else. When you e-mail one on one with someone outside the university, you will not notice this. Only when you email from your UU email address to an external mail list (a list of recipients that is not managed by the UU, sometimes also called a ‘list server’), is it possible that your email will arrive suddenly. in the SPAM folder of the recipient (s) instead of the regular inbox.
