New virus scanner: from Trellix (McAfee) to Jamf Protect

The virus scanner on UU-Macs is about to change. Where it is currently Trellix (formerly called McAfee), it will be replaced by Jamf Protect in the near future You don’t have to do anything: the new virus scanner will automatically replace the old one.

Why this change?
Jamf Protect is an antivirus program that is part of Jamf Pro by default. As a result, it has good integration with Apple Macintosh and offers even better protection against viruses.

What’s the difference?
The application and any pop-ups look different. You will see this when, for example, a virus has been detected.

Privacy
No new privacy statement has been created for Jamf Protect.
