Maintenance

2 July 2026 / 07:00 - 2 July 2026 / 11:00

As part of the restoration work following the fire at the Almere data centre, work will take place this coming Thursday, 2 July, between 0700 and 1100 hours on the power supply to the UU’s equipment in the room used by the UU within KPN’s data centre.

The aim of this work is to switch the current temporary power supply in the data centre to the regular power supply via the public grid. The temporary power supply was an emergency measure following the fire on 7 May.

The restoration work scheduled for this coming Thursday is the second and final change in a series of two, following the restoration work carried out on Thursday 25 June.

This work is not expected to have any impact on our IT services, as the power supply to all equipment in the Almere data centre on which UU’s services run is redundant, and the work is scheduled to affect only one of the two power connections.
