Utrecht University now has its own generative AI platform: UU AI-Chat. All students and staff will be able to use it starting in the first week of September 2026.

The difference from the AI tools you find online is that UU AI-Chat runs within Utrecht University’s own environment. Your data remains within the university and is not used to train AI models.
