A vulnerability has been identified in the Screen Sharing feature of macOS.

As a temporary measure, we are disabling Screen Sharing on all vulnerable computers. As a result, Screen Sharing or VNC sessions can no longer be initiated on these computers.

We recommend upgrading or updating the affected computers as soon as possible to one of the following macOS versions, in which Apple has addressed this vulnerability:

macOS Sequoia 15.7.9
macOS Sonoma 14.8.9
macOS Tahoe 26.6.1

Once the computer has been updated to one of these macOS versions, users can re-enable Screen Sharing themselves.
